SF BAY AREA
ACE can be hard to catch during the week for most railfans as it is a weekday only operation running between Stockton and San Jose. There are 4 trains westbound in the morning and 4 eastbound in the evening during peak commute time. The equipment is in a bit of a transition period as the F40PH-3C's are slowly being replaced by new Siemens Charger SC-44 locomotives. The rolling stock is also being repainted or replaced with new Bombardier cars so there is a bit of variety for the time being. Here is a short video of 3 of the 4 westbounds. Unfortunately the first train of the morning is usually in complete darkness until just reaching San Jose.

It is so nice to watch a video where the camera was on a tripod. I hate those shaky, hand-held vids, no matter how interesting the content.
