Hi,
I'm new here. I'm on the board of the Pinole History Museum and we have found an old postcard which shows a train derailment in Pinole, California on "May 19, 1908" (according to the text on the photo.) We would like to know more about this incident.
I am not a RR expert at all but I did not that it appears there was working being done on the left tracks (note the new sleepers on the ground and the objects stacked on the tracks near the center of the photo).
Any information about this incident will be much appreciated.
Alex Jason
