I have a question on Galbraiths Railroad Mail Service maps. There is a lien type used, a single hashed thin solid line used to connect towns, that is not included in the map legend, and to the best of our knowledge, connects towns that had no rail service at all. An example is attached- between Jerseyville, Otterville, Fieldon and Rosedale. We are extremely confident that no rail line existed to these towns. Have extensively researched historical topo maps, plat books, atlases, etc.
Thanks for any help.
