BNSF 1042 heads the now south bound "z" train to Seattle at Mukilteo, Wa. This train is fresh off the Stevens Pass Sub and has less than 30 minutes left to Seattle. Note the trailing unit - a NS Dash-9.

A southbound MEDHK at Felts Field in Spokane, WA. The train is one the former Spokane International, the track in the foreground was once the GN line to Coeur d'Alene, ID. But now the local governments want to move the UP trains onto the BNSF and make this a highway, prehaps in the next five years.

When we left Seattle, I told the wife route 2 was scenic...little did she know. I followed this eastbound intermodel up along route 2, and got him at a grade crossing. Photo was taken early Sept. while on vacation.
