Winter weather at Tower 55 froze switches requiring several crews to work non-stop to keep the trains rolling. Every switch had to be thawed to be lined ahead of every train approaching, a slow process. Although it took a long time to get a train through, they did manage to keep Tower 55 open.
UP 5551 proudly displays the flag as it leads an eastbound double stack past Cellilo park at track speed.

An AC4400CW leads three GEVO's and a SD70M into Cheyenne. Although I have not been trackside on UP for long enough to make definite conclusions, it looks like at least half the mainline trains are DPUd on the rear, making so much power up front a rare sight. I look forward to seeing these trains...
