Working a 2 day work train. We were in the hole at Wedge for 2 southbound freights. Except for the CN SD40-2W on our train, you'd think it was still BC Rail.
CN SD70I & BCOL Dash 8-40CM get fuelled at Walker shops. Note the twisty rail in the foreground. Id probably be shot for taking a similar photo at the Saskatoon shops (recall http://tinyurl.com/69r8jh) side street access makes all the difference in Edmonton.

Found this down at a park in Everett, WA, along the Snohomish River. Maps indicate a rail spur used to run here, and so does archeological evidence! This was one of two rails jutting out of the river bank. Other interesting artifacts such as a thick steel pipe/pole and a sunken cable lay around...
Rolled more than half a century ago, this rail keeps the trains moving and serves the railroad well. Even after all this time, it still looks as good as the newer rail that is being installed on the upper portion of Stevens Pass. Located at a railroad crossing in Startup at MP 1758.
