NS A48 rolls light Eastbound through Alexander City, AL. It has been snowing here all morning and at this point had two inches of snow on the ground with more on the way.
After meeting with the Eastbound NS 198 in town, the Westbound NS 335 crosses the 883' Hatchett Creek Trestle in Goodwater, AL on its way to Birmingham, AL. The creek is very low due to the severe drought we've been under all Summer.

Here we see eastbound NS Central of Georgia Train 334 rolling past Robinson Foundry just West of downtown Alexander City, AL on a very dreary August day. After having a average record 99 degree month, this day is a very welcome relief to the photographer.
This is NS 198 combined with a east bound rock train on the NS Central of Georgia Columbus Division in Alexander City, AL. The three HLCX motors are the rock train engines and the two NS motors are the 198's engines.
NS 2383 SW1500 sub-lettered for the CNOTP hauls a string of cars past the 27th St. Interlock under the Red Mountain Expressway and heads toward Sloss Furnace and 32nd Street, a GREAT place to shoot the NS.
