Spirit of Washington in the fog

Spirit of Washington in the fog

The Spirit of Washington sits and waits on rusty rails along side the Pacific ocean on a cold, windy, rainy November 2012 day. She waits as the rest of her consist slowly crosses one of many old and need of attention trestles on the old Union Pacific Davenport branch. This branch was abandoned after the cement plant in Davenport closed. Now the Santa Cruz & Monterey Bay railroad is bringing it back to life...hopefuly. Many repairs and upgrades are needed before the diner train and other excursions can take place. Its June now and I'm still waiting. Keep your fingers crossed.
