They do. And I once boarded one for 15 kms. while doing field validation of our Axlebox acceleration measurement equipment.

Actually, they also have motorised trolleys. But for motorosied trolleys they have to take the "block" which affects the trafic. This one is light and when they see a train comming, they just put it off the track.
