Pros: Film, 10 frames per second, excellent autofocus, water resistant 1-series body, 100% viewfinder, pellicle mirror.
Cons: Film, weight, 8 AA batteries, 2/3rds of a stop light loss.

This camera was 5,000 dollars new. I got it for 300 dollars off of Craigslist. I listed "Film" as both a pro and a con because I got a bunch of professional quality film (Velvia/Fujichrome) from a friend for free, although some other people have to pay a lot for their film. Also, you have to add in developing costs (unless you do it yourself .) With a 36 exp roll of film, you could be rolling through that in just under 4 seconds with the fastest drive speed of 10 frames per second. Not so good for railfanning in the US, but if you go to Europe, you could just about catch an entire TGV train at max speed. The build quality is what you would expect from a 5000 dollar camera (new,) and the auto focus is spot on. The mirror is the cool part in the "RS" (Rapid Shooting) model. The 1N RS features a "pellicle mirror," which is a mirror coated with a substance that makes the mirror semi-transparent, which makes it able to transmit light onto the film without moving. Although you loose 2/3rds of a stop with this technology, you gain the advantage of no blackout in the viewfinder while taking a photo.
