An excellent zoom lens for everyday use

The EF 28-105mm f/4-5.6 USM uses an aspherical lens element to maintain a high image quality throughout the zoom range. All the lens elements are made from environmentally friendly lead-free glass. The small size of the lens is due, in part, to the use of a new type of AF drive actuator. The Micro USM II is a minute ultrasonic motor that retains a similar level of performance as previous Micro USMs, but has a total length - as well as weight - reduced by almost one half. The AF speed is the fastest in its class* when used with the EOS 300V but also faster all round performance is delivered when the lens is used with other EOS models. With inner focusing, the front lens does not rotate during focusing. Various accessories can therefore be attached to the front lens without being hindered by lens rotation or movement.

Pros: Small, Built Well, Sharp
Cons: None

I like this lens as a carry around lens.
I had the 28-135mm IS lens 1st but found myself using this one more often.
It's autofocus is fast, the colors produced are great and it has never let me down yet.
