Packed with features, fantastic IQ, dust control system

|
Cons:
|
Average build, no spot metering

I love the XTi. It's a fantastic entry level dSLR that is quite capable of taking very polished looking photos.
When I upgrade to the 40D it will be because of it's rugged build (not that the XTi isn't holding up fine), live view, and 6.5 frames per second burst. I doubt I'll be able to tell them apart based on image quality though...

This is a big step for me since I used a Kodak P850 that had the electric zoom lens. But not my first SLR camera. Before digital cameras I used a Minolta film SLR with a 28-250 lens.

Pros:

Solid camera. I am still learning all of the aspects.

Cons:

Photos will wash out if you don't play with the aperture. I have to shoot on priority settings to get the light right.

I am using a Tamron 28mm to 300MM zoom with it. If there is any limitations to the camera, it is because of the zoom itself.
