Pros: Sharp, Light Weight, Good Build
Cons: None I could find

A a prime lens goes, this is a winner.
I don't know how practical of a lens it is for railroad photography, but it does produce a crystal clear photo with little or no editing required.
I have used it to shoot roster shots and a few moving train shots with really nice results.
If you think you need a prime lens, this one is well worth owning.
