Two old Conrail Dash 8s under new ownership and in foreign lands to boot! Originally LMS 742 (to CR 6268 then NS 8441) & LMS 729 (to IC 2456) now pulling for BNSF & CN. Three GE's sandwich a Norfolk Southern engine: BNSF 4355-NS 8441-BNSF 4182-6261 (9-44CW/8-40CW/9-44CW/ES44AC) at BNSF’s Denver shops, while CN 5740 SD75I leads IC 2456 through Saskatoon on CN 347. It's nice to see CN taking the time to properly patch this engine, even though there's no such thing as CN blue... Wonder why the GE stickers are vertical on the NS unit as opposed to side by side on the IC?

Thank you Pedro. I was stunned by all the Dash 8s in Denver, so many old 8-40C's, C41-8W's, even a B40-8 in the UP deadline. Then this CR/NS unit on BNSF - lots of such units (ok only 12) running on CN through town though, kind of disappointing as it is more common then a BNSF Dash 9-44CW. Interestingly when I railfanned BNSF for the first time in Oakland, they had a NS GE in the lash up as well! Quite the Dash 8 variety on CN: IC/ex-LMS 8-40CWs, 8-40CMs, BCOL 8-40CMs, BCOL B39-8Es, BCOL C36-8s & SAR C39-8s!
