The Davison grain loads quietly crept into the hole on the tail of 115. On the head today we have SD50F 5458, GP38-2 4703, and GP40-2W 9671. He sat there waiting to be overtaken again.

Elijah, I'm pretty sure its 548 all around, as it's a turn. Good catch. Still debating with myself If I should chase 548 If I hear it. He's just like the local wayfreights (520/540/541/560 etc.) anyway.

You're using logic Roman, you know CN doesn't work that way. I heard him call in on the radio and he said he was the 547. No doubt the 548 on return.

Elijah, I finally figured it out when last night two different RTC's referred to the Craik N/B as 547 and 548 respectively - see, even they don't know what's going on! To be fair he had 2275 leading. Back to logic: CN 548 is a S/B from Saskatoon to Regina. It has not run to Regina since 2001, so goes half way down to Davidson, picks up loades and heads back. Hence 548 has become a Saskatoon-Davidson turn. CN 547 on the othert hand is the Regina/Craik sub-Saskatoon N/B. So if 548's power is left @ Davidson, then goes N/B a day or two later (no longer a turn) it is called 547. Simple really!
