The Southern Railway heritage still shines through 25 years after the NW/SR merger on this bridge at Linden, crossing Route 55. The 227 has the worst nearly behind her here. About 9 miles ahead after swinging onto the H-line at Front Royal, the intermodal train will be cooking with gas at a mile a minute to Hagerstown, Maryland
