I like the catch!
Interesting to see the wooden ties with the modern 'concrete' crap. Wish that CSX loco was a GG-1 though!! Imagine that site!

Dogface.....Like the picture....the Express Train looks very 'European'...almost French or something! Is this train an U.S. design? or is it an 'import'?.....Bombardier?? Yes, imagine if the Freight had been hauled by a "GG-1"...what a contrast that would have been!!

It must be old age but I cannot name the builder of the Acela. It does have European heritage and I "think" you are right about Bombardier. I will check and get back to you.
What wouldn't I give to have a GG1 restored so that it could operate on its home turf. They were the locomotives or as the PRR guys called them, motors, that I grew up watching. Over the years I have proably seen each one ten fold.
