Wasn't that fun actually, lots of heat and the local was blocking my view, which is why I don't know the power for the 3rd intermodal. As for GMD1's, they are indeed very fun. Too bad I haven't seen one in yard service for a year now, as they're replaced by Geeps. On the bright side, CN hasn't been retiring them lately.

how exactly do you get to Portage jct in Winnipeg and who's property is it that you can take pictures from? or is there a road there?

Portage JCT is located the intersection of Jubilee Ave & Pembina HWY. There are lots of businesses nearby on both sides of Pembina with free parking available (private property, but nobody cares), you might also be able to Parker Ave as it is a dead-end street used by CN only, although. All my photos from Portage JCT were taken on the other side of the Jubilee overpass guardrail (public property). There's a road by the CN Tracks which you can clearly see in this picture, however do not go on it as it is very well patrolled by CN Police being CN property.
