Default Variety is the Spice of Life

Been too busy lately to post photos (but not too busy to take them). I've been giving most of my free time to my MSTS projects, and that's why I've been scarce on this forum. But here is a collection of various photos from the past several months.

The first pic is of a Fort Lewis bound military train in Spokane with stormy background. Then a trio of pics from Hooper Junction depicting a empty grain train on the mainline, a work train in the yard, and a Watco interchange train.

7. H-NTWPAS passing the flour mill in Cheney, WA.

8. A westbound manifest passes some Watco power in Cheney.

9. MEDHK near Clagstone, ID on UP's Spokane Sub.

10. QEDHK with a short train near Vay, ID.

11. A empty grain train races out of a thunderstorm at the Washington-Idaho state line.

12. A trio of leasers power a eastbound manifest across the Spokane River at Trentwood, WA.

13. A old international pickup truck sits on a farmstead near Sprague, WA.

14. The PGE coal train southbound on the UP south of Cheney, WA.

15. The MHKSK crossing the old entrance to the Playfair horsetrack in Spokane. The old racetrack was torn down recently awaiting redevelopment.

16. Passing competitors along the Snake River.

17. A pipe train along the Snake River at Sheffler, WA.

18. Most places you have to beware of the dog, but at the Sprague, WA sewage trement ponds you'd darn well better beware of the ghost sharks and mutant misquitos.

19. The Missle Base ballast pit near Sprague, WA on the BNSF.

20. A eastbound stack train near Fishtrap, WA.

24. The train had a really oddball consist.

25. A Conductor lining a switch for a ex-SP SD40-3 in a SDP45 carbody. This locomotive was stuck on the MHKSK/MSKHK for a while in May.

26. An abandoned farmhouse near Fishtrap, WA.

27. A typical eastern Washington thunderstorm.

28. Nothing like the open road after a spring shower.

I love seeing those storm photos Ted, but do be careful to not get blasted by 'em yourself The huge blasted tree near that fishtrap photo where I nearly got hit is probably still there...
