With trackwork on the south track, the north track was the only track to be used for the morning have of operations.

1. It's 10:28 and 142 comes rolling off the Galt Sub onto the North Toronto Sub on its way to GM plant in Oshawa, with CP GP9u 8207, CP GP9u 8214 powering this short 15 car train.

2. 5 minutes after 138 comes rolling through with 7000 ft of train for Toronto Yard, CP AC4400 9654, her sister 9629 and 9565 help lug this 67 car , 302 axle train east.

3. 14 minutes after 274 comes roaring east on the North Toronto Sub with 35 cars for Toronto Yard, with CP SD40-2 5836 & SOO SD40-2 6602 in Run 8

4. 11 minutes after 122 comes rumbling through after waiting for VIA 84 to clear West Toronto with CP SD40-2 5929 & CP SD40-2 5999 with 30 platforms and 84 axles of trailers.

5. After going home and taking a quick shower I hear 9671 calling for clearence at Howland, perfect, got ready again and headed out the door, CP AC4400 9671 makes a quick 15 mins stop before highballing it west with 56 cars in tow.

7. After talking to the foreperson about stuff I saw T22 coming from the distance, CP SD40-2 5657 & CP SD40-2 5623 head west with 48 cars for Lambton Yard, don't worry the foreperson was right there with me for this one......

8. I only missed two freights, but that didn't bother me, ate and got ready to see the Vaughan IMS Transfers getting ready to go up to Vaughan with 9,000 ft of intermodal, dang I missed him but I got the Lambton Lifter going in reverse to the west end of P66 (There busy ).

9. Another shot shows then going east.

10. At 15:33 (3:33pm) second 423 shows up heading the diamond with CP SD40-2F 9022 and CP SD40-2 5646 with 66 MT autoracks onto the Galt Sub.

11. At 14:04, T22's were ready to head east, I only got a going away shot but I don't care, this time CP SD40-2 5623 is leading her sister 5657 and 79 cars for Toronto Yard.

12. T11's are almost coming off the MacTier Sub, they are now crossing Old Weston Rd. (railway crossing at grade) onto Osler where they will back up with 30 loaded grain cars in tow. CP GP9u 8238 & St.L&H 8212 supply the power.

13. After T11's cleared, 434 comes off the MacTier Sub with 3rd Emery's power or what looks to be it, CP SD40-2 5872, CP SD40-2B 5762, CP GP9u 8209, 8234 & 8250 handle 76 cars to Toronto Yard.

14. Right after 434 cleared 106 came down the MacTier with a special visiter FURX SD40-2 3007 (ex-CP SD40 5523), her and CP SD40-2 5932 (leading) head east towards Toronto Yard.

15. 16 minutes before 18:00, and 242 comes racing through with alot of power, some of which was 423's from yesterday, CP AC4400 9592 and a SOO SD60 6019 pull her sister SOO SD60 6009 and her two older cousins CP SD4002 5982 and 5629 east to the Yard.

16. A minute after 18:00, 162 comes through heading into Lambton Yard with yet another leaser CEFX SD40-2 2810 (ex-UP SD40) inbetween her two Canadian sisters, CP SD40-2 5669 and SD40-2F 9018.

17. 6 minutes after 162 cleared 121 came roaring through with 30 platforms (84 axles) of trailers for Hornby, while CP SD40-2 5719 and 5761 power it.

18. 152 was to pick up 2 GE's that need to be power for tomorrow's 105 but somewhat didn't have enough time and decided to head back. CP AC4400 9504, SOO SD60 6018 and 6054 head east with 52 cars and 294 axles of containers

It looks like that line sees lots of traffic. Here in Minnesota, CP trains are scarce, 'cause only 15-20 go by on an average day.

Yep, CP's North Toronto Sub gets 50 freights a day and with the siding extensions and full CTC on the Galt Sub west of Guelph Jct. and Zorra, which will add another 10 freights to the mix and bump up capacity to the line in length and tonnage. On a good day you might catch half of the trains on this subdivision while the other half runs at night. And after the day ends I got a cab ride home instead of walking home.
