Default 3 trains over the Spokane River

A three train meet at the new Trentwood siding last Tuesday allowed me to get the follwoing photos in fairly quick succession. A northbound tie train and a MHKETB "B Train" met a southbound GSETKA. The third unit on the Tie train was a ex-UP FURX GP50, and the second unit (C40-8) was dead in tow.

Why can't the engineer be electrocuted?
Because he's not a conductor!

Nice shots Ted. Did you happen to catch a pic of the GP50 broadside? The reason I ask is that I saw one of these (a quick glimpse) about 10 days ago in Auburn, but couldn't tell what it said on the side.

Always appreciate your pics from the Inland Empire.

Thats what the power pretty much consists of around here on the Spokane Sub. I must admit that UP is putting some SP/UP AC44's and AC60's in the pool

Train Guy & Funnelfan,

Wish they would send SP power down the Gorge to Portland.. Ted, I saw a couple of FURX GP50's over the past week.. Last saturday, caught two of them behind an AC44 going east on a grain train..

UP added a new full length siding on the south side of the mainline that runs from the Spokane River Bridge to a point past Flora Road. The siding has been in use for just a few months now.
