Default Stampeede to reopen Jan 21st?

I just heard from a reliable source due to the mudslides up north that the BNSF may reopen tge stampeede sub as early as tomorrow, I hear that traffic is quite backed up right now.

Anybody else have more info? I'm posting this directly from my phone.

Dumb question: Wouldn't the plows show up? There's likely a couple of feet or more of nice heavy Cascade Cement type snow up there...

If they were to run trains on both the Stampede and Yakima subs, they would have the snow dozers run up the hill from Auburn within the past couple of days.

The UP never crossed my mind and we BNSF employees don't have access to their lineup unless they got a train with an F on the lineup for Stampede.

There wasn't much snow at all up at Snoqualmie Pass a couple of weeks ago when I was up there playing around. They would probably still need to plow, but it wouldn't take much unless they've got a lot more new snow recently.

Per the DOT:

Quote:
Snowfall depth for 2009-2010 winter season
A total of 157 inches of snow fell at Snoqualmie Pass through January 18, 2010, 37.7% of the five-year average.
Keep in mind, that's the total Snowfall, not what's on the ground... Much of it has melted in the interim. (Otherwise it would be much more impressive, with 13 feet of snow!)

So, have they? Or are the dozers something that doesn't show on lineups?
