Default What To Do on a Rainy Day ?

Get out and take some photos of course.
11/12/2008 Pewaukee Wisconsin.

Just as I turned towards Duplainville this morning,
the CP's 108.2 detector went off for an east bound freight.
It only takes 5 minutes to reach Dupy after hitting the detector
so I scrambled on in just in time to catch CP 8849 rolling by.

Wasn't to much longer before the next CP east bound hit with CEFX 1042 on point.
He actually passed the next east bound on main one and crossed back over to main two in front of him.

Here's the east bounder he passed.
CP 5998 with 2 assisting.

So far all the action is on the CP due to a broken rail north on the CN main.
Here, CP's G67 runs west with a hot car.

Of course, the 1st south bound CN is the Rock Job.
He got out just as they started letting south bounders crawl over
the bad rail to the north.

1st out of the south bound back up is the WSOR's HJ heading to Waukesha
and home rails.

In the mean time, CP G67 returns east with it's matching pair of Red Faced Soo's.

The HJ sits on the siding as the 2nd south bound CN rolls by with a BNSF leader
heading to the diamond.

Re-Crewed and ready to go, the HJ rolls off the south end of Duplainville.

Back on the CP, 8648 pulls an east bounder towards Milwaukee.

Time to jump back over on the CN for the next south bound lead by CN 6019.

Hey,,, a west bound CP hits.

A 5-pack of CN's pull the first north bounder of the day into the Duplainville siding.

It's now time for the Empire Builder #8.
And check out the lead unit....

A second CN north bounder rolls into the siding behind the 1st one already there.

Here's what the two north bounders are waiting for on the siding.
The 1st of three south bounds before they can proceed north again.

The second south bound rolls through.

The first north bounder starts to pull as the last south bound enters the picture.

The meet.

The rain really started to come down now,
so it's home I go to return another day.

Nice stuff on a crappy day. Sounds like the weather we have been having here in Vancouver the last little while. Wow talk about GEVO city.

Great shots as usual Ron, especially given the dreary conditions. Those WSOR units sure look sharp!

Very nice pics-what a variety. My computer is in a slow mood right now, so it took a long time to view them all

The WSOR always has the cleanest power I've seen.

Thank You
Ya, I've been posting the full photos, so I guess the Dial-up folks and slow connections make for a slow go...
Sory.......

I assume one was down and the leader was added or heavy snow out west made em add an extra unit.

Ron,

Wow it looks like everything ran yesterday. I thought about going out but stayed in and did some furniture moving and cleaning (on vacation this week). I was out there today and sun actually popped out. Caught a few on each side and #8 then the clouds came back and I headed home.
