Default Winter in China 4: Zhalai Nuer, day 2, the workshop (50 p.)

Hi,

A short late morning visit to a small depot in town

A few months ago the truck was still a donkey cart...

Quickly clean up a bit, a railbus with officials is approaching

From 11 a.m. until the workers' lunch break we stayed at the workshop for minor repairs where the locos are under steam. It's one of these magical places, where you can't believe that they are real. But they do exist...

A feature of all motorbikes here: gloves are integrated into the handle

Frozen windows

Time to let off steam!

In front of the shop

Wonderful light and shade images!

I wonder why we phased out steam traction?

Keep the photos commin.
This is exactly why shooting pictures of steam is a natural high.

I LOVE All the Human Interst shots! The ones I like best are inside the loco facility with the rays of sunlight coming through - WOW!! You know how much money it would take to set up shots like that (I mean if you didn't find it in China)? It's like a really cool music video or something.

Thanks so much for sharing these, I spend a lot of time looking at them shaking my head.
