Default New BNSF ES44DCs invade Canada

I got tipped off that some of the newest ES44DC were up in Canada today. After supper I managed to drag my wife out to check out the newest BNSF Railway units. This was the first time I've seen the new paint scheme in person.

Units 7779 and 7777 were the power on the H-EDMEVE1-12 out of CN's Thornton Yard in Surrey, British Columbia.

Very nice photos. I guess if you have to have Heritage paint, it is best to have it fresh and clean.

And the units aren't foreign; they're American.

The 7779 and 7777 are on the EDMEVE and the 7759 is on the point of the PRGEVE so look for them today in daylight.

As long as it's Canadian commisioned as we say. Honestly, I've never asked what all the reqirements are, but the easy ones are a snow plow and ditch lights.

At the border, when they stop for the inspection, a portable stretcher is put aboard. Or so I'm told.

Dang!!!!, I'm gonna miss them.

One thing about these powerbar units is the orange is a darker shade.
