Default BNSF sd70ace's are going to be the 9300's!

after going to a railspot yahoo group luncheon last weekend i got some info on the first roster numbers for teh bnsf sd70ace order. the person i talked to knows a mechanic at bnsf's argentine yard, which is where he got the info from. there are a confirmed 80 orders now, not just 30, and eventually when the first 100 are ordered , they will be numbered 9300-9399. after 100 though is anyones guess still, but at least the first 100 have a number series now!

Those CP 9300's... are they SD90's with a SD70 body? and do they still use them, or did they have problems?

CP 9300-9303 basically look the same(in style) as the SD70ACe/SD70M-2's.

Thanks for the heads up with the numbers. Were 30 to 80 increase an add on or did they exercise the option?

The CP 9300's are 6000hp SD90MAC-H's. They have a totally different carbody than an SD70/70M/70I. The CP SD90MAC-H's are still in service.
