Default The freight train of Tohoku Line

The photograph introduced here is the freight train of ED75 type electric-locomotive lead.

Tohoku Line changes current to "AC 20,000v 50Hz" to "DC1500v" at the Kuroiso station of the Tochigi northern part.

This time, I went ED75 type electric locomotive which ran short to Tochigi Prefecture and Fukushima Prefecture later on.

1:The freight train basks in the morning sun and it runs at high speed.

2:ED75 of a new paint scheme!

3:ED75 which runs the photography famous place.

4:ED75 which leads the diesel car used in Sagami Line.

Default Shot on February 17.

February 17 went to take of ED75 type electric locomotive a photograph again.

A photograph was mainly taken between the Shirasaka station in Toyohara Station Tohoku Line, on that day.

8:The double head ED75 leads a tank train.

9:Again, it is an ED75 double head. A second locomotive engine is ED 75-1028 of a Special paint scheme.

10:The high-speed container train of ED75-90 lead.

11:ED75 which gave the newest paint scheme.

Nice shots Koji. I like #'s 7 and 8. The engines against the white snowy background really adds to the shot. Keep em coming.

Default Shot on February 24.

As for me, February 24 went ED75 to take a photograph.
A shot many ED75 of an original paint scheme on this day. Furthermore, the new photography location was also discovered!!

12: This is not ED75. This is 455 type EMU which goes in Koriyama, Fukushima, and Sendai from Kuroiso. This EMU was used for the former express train.

13: It is the tank train of an ED75-111+ED75-??? lead. This location is the newly discovered border of Tochigi Prefecture and Fukushima Prefecture.

14: The high-speed container train of an ED75-1001+??? lead. ED75 1000 series was a locomotive engine for passenger trains originally.

15: The container train of the ED75-111 lead which moved to the photography field near the Shirasaka station, and was taken.

renesis, LR, coffee, Thank you for a comment. I am busy recently and cannot join in RRF.com easily.

Beautiful pictures as always! Do you have some of the EH500 as well? That locomotive is fascinating (almost as much as the ED75)

Thumbs up

Very nice photographs! Always good to see freight trains in Japan! It seems that all we see here in North America are passenger trains in Japan.
