Thumbs up A beautiful day at Claremore Interlocker

What a beautiful day it was that I had taken the oppourtunity to sit out by the BNSF/UP Xing in Claremore why my stepmom went to go visit my stepbrother at the Claremore Jail, aka Rogers County Police Dept.

The night before, me and April S had discussed about meeting up. Yesterday morning as I departed me and my parents' home here in Southwest Missouri, I had such a big grin on my face, just knowing that I had a good clear blue sky day and not a worry in sight as I headed down towards Okie State. This included a good day of railfanning and finally meeting April after a year to a few months of just communication over Yahoo Messenger.

My dad dropped my stepmom off at the jail about 5 mins. shy of 12:00 and then took me on to the interlocking.

Not 5 minutes after arriving, 1209 PM, I hear the sounds of what was an ES44DC. This would be an Eastbounder on the BNSF Cherokee Sub. In the consist was BNSF ES44DC # 7614 (Heritage 3), BNSF SD40-2 # 6768 (Bluebonnet), and renumbered BNSF SD40-2 # 6970, formerly BNSF 7310.

About an hour and 8 mins. later, 1620, we see the last train of the day, CSXT 121 North on the UP crossing the BN.

And finally, a happy, but sad moment of the night: notice: blurred! ugh. Well, I just couldn't resist getting the shots because I knew likely to see a SP unit is getting more rare and rare these days.

Well enjoy the pics. I also unexpectedly met another railfan, Jay Hastings there at the Claremore Interlocker.
