Thread: Wood Boxcar Salesman's Sample from 1883

  1. Default Wood Boxcar Salesman's Sample from 1883

Hello! I came across this boxcar, that I think may have been a salesman's sample or a fancy office piece. The Allison Manufacturing Company was named such in 1883. I believe this piece to be older than that, based on the square bolt heads. It is made of chestnut. The roof is copper, the wheels and other fittings are brass. Curios what others think of it.
