    Thanks for the link. The photos submitted by Kyle make it look like an abandoned structure, but the photos and Amtrak sign in the link suggest it is still in use.

    Ottumwa is still very much in use. My wife and I got on, and a week later got off, the California Zephyr there last July.

    I've seen a lot of photos of that station, but I have never heard why the roof is gone and never replaced.

    Looks like the roof was removed in fall 2013, according to comments on this video.
