Thread: Norfolk & Western Railway Standard Plans Book

  1. Default Norfolk & Western Railway Standard Plans Book

Help: what do I have here, rare/common? It's over 400 pages in numerical order all of the pages are in really good shape. The book is 95% complete I'd say. Need to know if I should have it appraised for insurance reasons. Mainly though I just want to learn more about it. Thank you

I have a book like that for the Chicago and Northwestern dated 1903. These books have the"standard" dimensions and designs for items used on the railroad. They are really handy for modeling. Don't know what they are worth.

Ok thank you, I could see the modelling benefits. There are very specific drawings in there for lots of different things. Either way valuable or not it's a really interesting book.
