Thread: Train Bell

  1. Default Train Bell

Hello everybody, this is my first post and I would like any help in determining how old and what exactly I have been given. Thus bell belonged to my grandpa. From what I know he got it from train station in santa ana, ca. My dad said it's old but that doesn't help much. It's not metallic it's 17 in. at lip It does have 634 stamped on bell. No other markings on bell inside or out I think. Cradle has #'s on it as seen in pictues. If anybody has info it would be greatly appreciated. Looking for value also and best way to restore it

My brother posted this about a year ago. Since then he and my father have both passed. The markings on the cradle are L907. And 49923. There is also a stamp of 2049 I have had this shipped to me in Michigan and would like to restore and place in yard. Will Michigan winters hurt it and does any one have any info on this bell. I did find a steam locomotive #634 would that have anything to do with this bell. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
