A better look at 1005. I doubt it will be gray very much longer.

It looks like the "Bloody Nose" era will soon come to an end. I was surprised to find a GP7/9 still in Black Widow when I moved to Sacramento in October of 1973.

They were moving a couple of old Geeps still in SF colors at the end of this string, heading out of the bay area on New Years Day.

The Charger with the spoiler looks funny with the low level set.

It's the same things your whole life. "Clean up your room!", "Stand up straight!", "Pick up your feet!", "Take it like a man!", "Be nice to your sister!", "Don't mix beer and wine, EVER!" Oh yeah, "Don't drive on the railroad tracks!"

Yeah, it sure does. Now it looks like we may end up with brand new single level cars, even though the locomotives were ordered with bilevels in mind.

Another nice set of photos. What type of signals are those next to UP2674?

Thanks Brad. I'm no expert on signals, so I don't know if these are leftover from the SP Cal-P line days or if they are UP originals. There have not been the SP searchlights around here for a long time, but these 3 light type are present up and down the UP line. Over on the BNSF, they have mostly gone to the newer PTC type signals.
