A Maintenance of Way train tied up at the Edmonds spur before the afternoon passenger parade began.

Whatever this is was mounted on a former Northern Pacific flat car.

My kind of light power hop: a northbound (tt/east) set of Geeps in ABA formation.

A northbound (tt/east) track inspection train. Atchison and Skagit River are regulars up here in the PNW.

Returning Sounder special. You can tell the direction of travel by the headlights.

    Friday (7/14/17) at the marsh.

BNSF must have a power surplus to use two high horsepower GE's on a three car ballast train.

A northbound (tt/east) had two of my favorite diesels, a Geep and a 700 series War Bonnet, as trailing units.

My son took this interesting photo Monday (7/17/17) of a northbound (tt/east) passing the boardwalk and #1 viewing platform of the marsh.

The term "foreign power" can take quite a literal meaning as we are less than 100 miles from the Canadian border. Spotting diesels of the CN and CP is not unusual, but FCM units are not so common.

Does anyone know what the small red light above the left ditch light on the lead diesel is?

    The One That Got Away

Wednesday afternoon (7/19/17) a short southbound (tt/west) freight with 3-4 Geeps as trailing units in the diesel consist passed the marina. Present in the consist was BNSF #60, a TCBC6. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo. Those living south of me might keep an eye out for the unit.
