Default Norfolk & Western boxcar over Donner 9-16-07

I don't see to many of these paint schemes over Donner. I finally got a decent shot to showon Sept 16, 2007, NW #281120 with the NORFOLK & WESTERN logo.

When did the NW die off and become NS ?

"When did the NW die off and become NS ?"
In 1982 when it merged with the Southern Railway.

WOW!!!! Now that is a rare find!

N&W 50'6 ft. ribbed-sided boxcars are nearly extinct. A friend at NS said less than 10 are around in full paint, and only 1 or 2 are in N&W logos. Nice catch Kev, keep it up!

I have seen that perticular car a few times east and west over Donner. I see it an average of once every 45-60 days. Can anybody find out where she gets loaded/unloaded ?
