I had to giggle when you said "the new line's 115# rail to the 85# rail on the EWG mainline."

That seems so backwards!

I have to be careful what I say on a public forum. I was impressed at how that 85# to 115# comp bar looked, and that is why I included the picture. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "mainline"!

I got an email from Roger Hepkima. He indicates that the north switch (Rambo Jct) should be going in next week.

It does seem ironic that EWG is running SD45s on that 85# rail and we will be running a GP7 on the 115#. However the payoff will be that this new line should not need any maintenance for years in the future.

My thread on this project does seem to have a loyal following, though. I plan to continue it through the last run on the old line and the first run on the new line.
