Hello everyone, I am new to this site and still feeling my way around. I have a few questions as to how I can find old railways lines in the Drumheller Valley, as in maps. My father was a hoghead most of his life and ran steam in this valley after the war. That era was mainly coal mines and there were alot in this valley. Trying to find maps of the old rail lines that ran to all these mines and then out of the valley is becoming a challange, if anyone can direct me in the right direction if would be most helpful. Thank you from an old retired guy......

In what part of the world is the Drumheller Valley? There are many old maps available for the United States. Google Earth is also handy. I have found parts of old railroad grades on views of the earth and some of them have been gone for 50 years. Tom

Thank you Tom, I should have put the location of the Drumheller Valley. Drumheller is a medium sized town in Alberta Can. It is located approx. 100 miles N.E. of Calgary Alberta. Was a very big coal mining center during the 40's and 50's, then natural gas appear on the scene and so much for the mines. Thanks again.
