There is a UP line running through St. Joe. There are about one train every 45 minutes, and they are mainly TOFCs or autoracks. There is the occasional manifest, and there seems to be a lot of Conrail action on these lines, with other UP engines.
1. Go to I-74 in Champaign-Urbana.
2. Head East towards Danville
3. Get off at the St. Joseph exit.
4. Turn right at the end of the ramp, and drive down that road until you see a sign for Sidney in 7 miles.
5. Turn right after the sign, and stay left at the S-bend.
6. Turn left at any of the next 3 roads for ideal railfanning locations.
Road 1 has the most traffic
Road 2 has "friendly" dogs that are not tethered
