Last night they were testing the new Siemens SC-44 Charger engine #4611 in the Amtrak yard at Holgate Street in Seattle, WA and taking it to the Coach Y for clearance testing. It will be going to Vancouver, BC and Portland, OR over the next couple of days so be on the look out for it. This is not an engine that will remain here. The actual engines that Amtrak Cascades will be receiving later this year will be painted in Cascades colors and have an appropriate number in sequence.
