Sunday, October 18, 2015, was a cloudy day in Seattle. Normally the Sound Transit “Sounder” doesn’t run on Sunday, but it’s the Seahawks versus the Panthers so there are special trains to take fans to Century Link Field.
October is also harvest time. Trains bring carloads of grain from Canada and the Midwest for export overseas. After being delayed at a red signal, BNSF 6580, finally gets the green light and departs southbound with a consist of empty grain cars while Amtrak Cascades 513 passes it on main track 2.
