Looking at buying a hand held Uniden BC92XLT scanner next month. Anyone use this before, I don't need anything over the top, just something I can carry along and works. Would like to hear some input.

I like the Yaesu radios, I have the FT250R and I'm very happy with it. To get even better spend $20 on a SRH77CA antenna to go along with it. It is worth your money!

Hmm, where is the best place to buy one of these? Price is an issue as I have a limited budget on what I can spend, so I would have to compare prices and see if I can swing it. The Uniden I can get for $100.00 delivered.

Universal Radio is rumored to have the best service for the best price, but the whole setup will probably be a bit more than $100. If this is really your limit, shop around a bit and see what you can find. If you trust it, do ebay.

I'm not capped at a $100, just don't want to spend too much is all. Just by your suggestion to visit Universal Radio, I can upgrad from the 92XLT to the new 95XLT for a meer $4.00 more than what I could get the 92XLT for. I don't mind Ebay, I really like Ebay. My wife doesn't though :D
