Drove to Council Bluffs, IA to pick up some freight and got a couple pics in Omaha while I was there

Saw this unit parked at a grain elevator in Omaha, NE; there were no reporting marks

Driving on I-80W into Nebraska from Iowa this is above the interstate; Big Boy # 4023 & Centennial class unit #6900. There is a public park next to the locomotives.

Welcome to Omaha/Council Bluffs. Next time you get this way let us know, we could meet somewhere and I'll give you the 50 cent tour. A couple of additions. The park with the locomotives is accessible through the Lauitzen Gardens gate and I think it may only be open between 8 and 5pm. Don't quote me on that. It has a great view of the river and the north end of the BNSF Gibson yard. Plus you can actually touch a Big Boy and a Centennial. Also unless they moved it, the 4331 is in Council Bluffs. That elevator sees a number of KCS grain movements. I have only seen the GP run a couple of times and usually I want to yell at it and say "REV IT UP", because I love the 1st generation sound. To the east of the elevator is the Iowa Interstate yard host to a couple of transfer moves and at least one train from the east and then to the east each day usually in the late afternoon. Tom

Thanks for the invite.

We are staying in York, NE and I don't have transportation over to Council Bluffs.
