Line Relocation St. Anton am Arlberg Austria 2000

Railroadforums.com is a free online Railroad Discussion Forum and Railroad Photo Gallery for railroaders, railfans, model railroaders and anyone else who is interested in railroads. We cover a wide variety of topics, including freight trains, passenger and commuter railroads, rail news and information, tourist railroads, railway museums and railroad history.

I've learned that there was a major line change made through this ski resort city during 2000 prompted by a "World Cup" skiing event, resulting in the relocation of the line to the South side of the valley, lengthening of the Arlberg tunnel, and replacing a classic Tyrolean styled station with a quite non-descript "functional" structure.

I was there last month, having made a day trip from Salzburg, but I did not know where the former station was located and if it is still standing.

Likely, I should have used more of my time there to locate the former line, but I didn't.

Assistance, anyone?
