What are those things that look like exhaust pipes on the roofs of the passenger cars?
hi Bill, that is a called generator car, is a reformed passenger car provided with an electricity generator / power plant to provide the electricity for the entire train and all the appliances for the kitchen/dinning car, those pipes are the exhaust of the generator´s engine
 
Thanks. At the very end of the video I thought I saw those pipes on other cars in the train, but it was hard to tell due to the angle.
