So a few of us are converging on the Albany/Amsterdam area Memorial Day Weekend for food/beverage/railfanning/photography. As I've seen LOTS of pics lately of visiting horsepower on Pan AM...UP, BNSF, NS, CP, CSX... Am I lead to believe that the CSX is supplying some of the horsepower at Rotterdam Jct...and the NS is reponsiblie for the horsepower off the D&H thru Mohawk and up to Mechanicville? CSX is never a problem to railfan, the traffic is pretty substancial. I would however appreciate a quick explanation and heads up on traffic on the D&H as we try to catch some of these goodies before becoming parked on Pan Am waiting for crews/whatever...! Thanks in advance.
