Hello, and thanks for the invite. I'm in the heavy equipment transport business, and I specialize in unique and custom work with railway equipment. I am family with several Metro North and Amtrak railroad employees and love everything about the RR world. Living close to the Hoosac Tunnel in Massachusetts, I've done the museum and physical walking/hike tour of both west and east portals, west, central and east exhaust shafts. It's an amazing feat of engineering that started during the civil war era and took 25 years to punch a hole 4.75 miles through that mountain. Anyone interested in that can easily Google "Hoosac Tunnel" and find ample information on that whole amazing project.
I have posted in the Railroadiana-Buy/Sell/Trade thread to get an idea of what I do and if anyone ever needs anything moved from used sticks of rail to railcars and trucks, support equipment, you name it...I'd love to discuss it.
I hope it's OK to say this in the Welcome Aboard thread...if not I understand and you can delete this. I'm just trying to expose myself to offer services to anyone from the individual train buff, to parts dealers to the major railway managers or supervisors, to help them get a better deal from a company with old fashioned work ethics and values, from a small American owned and operated family business that loves what they do and have over 35 years in the field.
Again, thanks for the invite into your forums.
