BNSF is detouring at least 2 loaded coal trains and possibly a third from
Council Bluffs to Colona. The first one departed Council Bluffs at 0600 and the
second is estimated for around 10 this morning. No word on the third one yet.

This is due to flooding on BNSF's Ottumwa Sub, the normal route for these
trains.

Very interesting submission! Is the Iowa Interstate RR (former Rock Island Line) through Des Moines in good enough shape to handle the BNSF coal trains? Had lived in Des Moines and was diheartened when the Rock went belly up in 1980.
