    CN was busy cleaning the back track at Grandview with a Kershaw Ballast Regulator which also cleans switches by blowing the snow away from the switch area. The Grandview Area received up to 12 inches of snow.

    A very rare for the OT Sub. southbound grain train has topped Lava Butte Summit south of Bend, OR, in a "moderate" snow storm. 2nd loaded grainer we've seen come through here in the last couple of weeks, apparently symboled as Pasco to Barstow.

    Amtrak 352 slows on the siding in Dowagiac as it waits on Amtrak 353 to pass on the main. Our first shot for the year it was worth the 26 degrees and snow it's always fun when there's trains.

    We needed our train fix for the new year so with no luck in Elkhart, IN we came home and got our first photos of the year Amtrak 352 and 353 both showed up in town 352 took the siding and 353 blasted through at 63,000 mph, well it seems that way. Snow 26 degrees you got to love it.
