One of three such engines on the scenic line, two CN GP40-2Ws & 4 PC GP40s, including 8016 trailing, round out the roster. I believe Dash 7 B Boats were used prior, always alongside old CN cars. The Class I retired this unit 10 years ago.
One can get a feel for the beauty of the Mullan Pass area & the surrounding mountains from several scenic points along Mullan Pass road. In the distance, you can see one of two major trestles on the Mullan Pass route.
