L&N 152 powering a special run north of New Haven. The normally scheduled train had operated decked out in flags and bunting to commemorate the Gettysburg Address. The late afternoon special put the train in some very nice light. A cab ride earlier and good light later. It was a good day...
Heading east into Memphis at Kentucly Street, BNSF 5116 and NS 8990 head towards a meet with a westbound BNSF empty coal train on Broadway. The MMEEWX 29 train of the UP can also be seen in the distance.
Former Southern Caboose X365 is now being used as a railside museum for the City of Wilmore to show the history of this railroad town and the line that runs through it. The Caboose is open on Saturdays from 10am-12pm(Summer months).
